Sustainability has always been a big part of what we do. We have done 28 world firsts in captive breeding (since the 90s), energy reduction initiatives, sustainable energy sourcing at our sites as well as product development using sustainable packaging and sustainable materials. EcoRock and EcoSand are good examples of this.

One of our concerns has been with plastics and Styrofoam. The entire industry has a big challenge ahead to look at everything we do and reduce our carbon footprint.

We are now proud to show a giant step towards this. Our European office has completed the design and new moulding of a 100% recycled Styrofoam box. This new exclusive design benefits from being eco friendly and creates a new standard for fish transport with animal welfare in mind.

The material is obtained from our own Styrofoam received from suppliers all over the world therefore recreating what is a better and longer lasting solution for our customers needs.

For us, we have a high degree of responsibility when looking at over 30k-40k boxes moved each a year. This definitely represents a great step in the right direction!
