Bass - Harlequin

Western Atlantic, south Florida, Bermudas and Bahamas to widespread in the Caribbean Sea as far as Lesser Antilles. Various habitats of mixed reef and seagrasses from shallow protected areas to about 40m depth. Usually seen swimming slowly near the bottom looking out for prey such as small crustaceans. Readily identified by its distinct pattern of spots, blotches or bars.Length to about 10cm.
