Western PacificRestricted distribution from subtropical Japan, Philippines and along Wallace's Line to Bali and Christmas Island (Indian Ocean). Usually t depths over 30m. Juveniles form large schools and are often mixed with other basslets when feeding on zooplankton. Looks similar to Pseudanthias Iori but saddles along the back are more pronounced and placed along entire dorsal fin to base of caudal fin. Lower lobe of caudal fin is often yellow. Length to 10cm.
